«Графики функций»

           The series «Графики функций» is the next in the collection «Learn to read Russian mathematical texts» and continues a line of forming of the basic lexical- grammatical skills and essential notions about Russian mathematical terminology.
           These films may be played back at any computer with the WINDOWS 95 and higher ones without additional installation of special programs as they are made in EХЕ size.
           The principle of operation: the transition between slides is produced by pushing drawn (graphical) button The motion is possible this way “forward”, and that way “back ”.

           The series was designed for using by a teacher at the practical lessons and during the lectures in the groups of mathematical specialities of pedagogical higher establishments and grades of schools with the profound learning of mathematics.

           The main aim of the series Shaping of the student interest to a subject field «foreign language» takes place right at the stage of primary perception of educational information, during the time of introducing with the elements of a observed structure of learning material, and also while adaptation and gaining some cognitive operations in the frame of a certain methodological system. The films are intended for forming of the basical lexical-grammatical skills on the material, giving primary knowledge about Russian mathematical terminology.
      The texts are presented in different variants: from Russian into English and from English into Russian (by shots), only in Russian.

           The features of the methodological purpose of the series. Successive, systematical work with mathematical texts, dose delivery of educational material, availability of drawings and schemes in a shot reduces emotional tension, makes necessary communication at the lesson of foreign language and in the regime of independent student work.

           When group teaching it is recommended to provide joint viewing on a big screen, that would allow teacher to focus attention of the students in the unified direction and in common pace.

       With the slide-film «Направляющие прямоугольники гиперболы» an introduction with the basic Russian terminology, giving possibility to describe graphs of elementary functions is continued.

       Minimum quantity of repeating terms allows to adopt and memorize necessary lexical units, using in the following films of the series within short time.

       The slide-film «Сдвиги по оси ординат направляющих прямоугольников гиперболы» describes the process of transfer of the hyperbola along the axis of ordinate.

       It is useful to pay attention to available lexical units (adjectives) вертикальный, горизонтальный and verbs to restore easily recognizable from the film context

       The slide-film «Деформация по оси ординат направляющих прямоугольников гиперболы» provides increasing of Russian vocabulary, describing deformation of the hyperbola along the axis of ordinate.

       It is useful to focus attention to adequate translation of the phrases, containing scrupulous description of performed operations.

       The slide-film «Направляющие прямоугольники параболы» is a sister-film to the film «Направляющие прямоугольники гиперболы», introduces with a sequence of operations, leading to drawing of the parabola.

       The widening of the word deposit is performed due to some verbs, including to stretch, to constrict. .
